Entering your garden for the challenge
We have created simple and easy forms for you to record what you have done for wildlife in your garden. There are forms for back gardens, patio gardens and balcony gardens, and you can download them as clever Excel files which will do all the addtions for you, and automatically check for your award level. If you don't like Excel, you can download the forms as Word files which you can print and fill in by hand. These forms include necessary information so we can put a name on your award certificate and send it to you. We would like you to get together a few photos which show some of what you have done. We will check from the photos that you really have made progress in the garden!
You can send the completed Excel files and the pictures to [email protected]. The photos shouldn't be too big (less than 500kb) and we have tips on reducing photo size here.
If you fill in the form by hand you can send it to the address on the form by mail.
Download the entry forms:
If these don't appear on your screen, look in the Downloads folder.
When you have submitted the form we will be able to go through your answers and assign a certificate. We would normally send this to you by email to print at home, but if you haven't a printer we can do it for you to collect. Later on, Gold Certificate holders can apply for a plaque for their garden.
Thank you for trying the Cholsey Wildlife Garden Challenge. We hope to use this as a pilot project leading to the roll-out of an expanded Challenge nationally, so your participation is extremely helpful for us.
Cholsey Wildlife Garden Challenge
The aim of the Challenge is to encourage and help Cholsey people to make changes to encourage wildlife in their gardens - and earn certificates to reward their efforts! By making changes to help wildlife you earn points, and with enough points you can earn certificates for back gardens, patio gardens and balcony gardens, in Green, Silver and Gold achievement levels. Gold level gardens can qualify for a outdoor plaque to display their quality for wildlife.
